Press Release: BH brings back Glen DeWillie to advance Water Resources Division

York, PA – Buchart Horn, Inc. is pleased to announce its recent re-hire of Glen R. DeWillie, PE, of Hummelstown. DeWillie was previously employed at Buchart Horn for six years, most notably serving as Executive Vice President 2008-2010. He returns to help advance the Water Resources Division as a Market Leader and Senior Engineer.

DeWillie brings more than 30 years of experience in water resources and environmental sciences. His 20 years of service in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers culminated in commanding the Buffalo District, where he led a 300-person team in the planning, design, and operation of flood control, navigation, and water resources management projects.

“Glen brings an incredible value to our staff; we’re so fortunate to have him return to BH. This is an opportune time for him to rejoin our ranks and be a part of evolution and growth we’re experiencing,” said Brian S. Funkhouser, PE, President/CEO of Buchart Horn.

DeWillie spent several years as the Chief of Water Resources at the Susquehanna River Basin Commission before transitioning to the private sector as a consulting engineer where he focused on developing and managing water resources, energy services, and military installations planning projects.

DeWillie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Military Academy and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. He is a licensed professional engineer in Virginia and is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers.

An avid outdoorsman, DeWillie enjoys flyfishing, flytying, bike riding, and camping, He lives in Hummelstown with his wife Michaela and is the father to three children Erin, an aerospace engineer; Brian, a biomedical engineer; and Kevin, a mechanical engineer.
