EPA to Present on Lead and Copper Rule Part 2

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has scheduled an online training session for June 29th from 1:00-2:30 PM EST to address the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) and the recent publication of the Optimal Corrosion Control Treatment Evaluation Technical Recommendations for Primacy Agencies and Public Water Systems guidance manual. The training session is titled “Lead and Copper Rule Part 2: Requirements after an Action Level Exceedance,” and the presenters will discuss:

  • Public education requirements
  • Corrosion control treatment
  • Optimal water quality parameters
  • Source water monitoring
  • Lead service line replacement requirements

You can register for this session today. The next LCR training being conducted by the EPA will occur on August 17th from 2:30-4:00 PM EST and will address additional compliance and monitoring requirements.
