GIS

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) play a central role in how Buchart Horn supports long range planning, infrastructure management, and data driven decision making. Our team develops and maintains GIS databases for water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation, and municipal systems. These tools help clients visualize existing conditions, track assets, and make informed choices about future investments.
Our experience includes the development of GIS based hydraulic models, systemwide asset management programs, and mapping to support master planning and public communications. For water and sewer utilities, our GIS work integrates directly with field data, CCTV inspections, GPS survey information, and hydraulic modeling outputs, creating a reliable foundation for capital planning. BH has used GIS to support inflow and infiltration investigations, capacity evaluations, and long-term rehabilitation strategies, providing clients with clear, actionable insights drawn from accurate spatial data.
GIS is not an isolated service for us. It is a component of our integrated planning approach, supporting land use analysis, zoning and subdivision updates, environmental documentation, trail and recreation planning, landscape architecture, and comprehensive municipal studies.
