Greg Scott, PE, a Senior Environmental Engineer in BH’s Pittsburgh office, was recently selected to receive the 2018 ASCE President’s Medal. This award recognizes the accomplishments and contributions of eminent engineers to the profession, the Society, or the public.
Recommended by ASCE President, Kristina Swallow, Greg’s nomination citation reads:
“For your unwavering leadership and steadfast support of lifelong learning and the civil engineering profession through work on the Annual Convention Advisory Council, the Environmental and Water Resources Institute (EWRI) Governing Board and as ASCE Region Governor.”
Greg will be presented with the President’s Medal during the ASCE Annual Convention in October, which will take place in Denver, CO.
This award follows Greg’s recent election as an ASCE Fellow. ASCE Fellows have made celebrated contributions and developed creative solutions that change lives around the world. It is a prestigious honor held by only 3% of ASCE members.
Additionally, Greg was recently elected to serve a three-year term on the Penn State Alumni Association’s Alumni Council. In this role, he will assist in advising the Alumni Association on programs and initiatives to fulfill its mission.
