YORK, PA (January 6, 2016)—Members of the public are invited to attend a public meeting to learn about and provide input on a planning project for green infrastructure in the City of York. The meeting will be held on Thursday, January 28 at 7 pm at Buchart Horn, First Floor Atrium, 445 West Philadelphia Street, York, PA 17401.
This will be the first in a series of three public meetings as part of the planning process for the City of York that will examine the extension of the Heritage Rail Trail through York City, the design of a “green” road through the Northwest Triangle, the master plan for Lafayette Plaza improvements, and the development of a Green Action Plan for the City of York. The program is funded through a planning grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and more than a dozen local stakeholders.
The first meeting on January 28 will explore recreational, environmental and multi-modal transportation opportunities in the area of the east bank of the Codorus Creek from Market to George Streets. The public will be introduced to the project area, learn about the overarching goals of the project, and will be asked for input on how those goals are to be achieved.
Directions: Access Buchart Horn First Floor between 150 & 160 Roosevelt Avenue (at Mural). Proceed straight toward Buchart Horn (BH) building. After access drive bears right, turn left into BH parking lot. Building access to the left of lot.
