Buchart Horn is pleased to welcome Daniel J. Magri, PE to our business development team, where he will serve as Director of Marketing for our Southern Transportation group. Dan will be based out of our Baton Rouge, LA office.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Louisiana State University and has 38 years of diverse public-sector transportation experience. Dan is a registered Professional Engineer in Louisiana. His professional background includes 30 years at the Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development (DODT), where he last served as Assistant Secretary for the Office of Planning, and previously as Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Planning, Assistant Public Hearings and Environmental Impact Engineer, Highway Safety Engineer, and Highway Safety Administrator.
Dan is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), the American Society of Civil Engineers, and past President of the Association of Transportation Safety Information Professionals (ATSIP). He looks forward to building and growing relationships with Buchart Horn clients, as well as drawing from his extensive transportation planning, traffic safety, and public transportation experience to mentor staff.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys fishing, traveling and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
