Buchart Horn is pleased to welcome Jamie Keener, AICP to our business development team, where he will serve as Director of Market Development, based out of our York, PA headquarters. Jamie brings to his role over 30 years of progressive experience in business development, planning, and economic development. His professional background includes land planning and development, zoning, client relations, real estate, and strategic planning for engineering and non-profit groups, including Buchart Horn earlier in his career.
Jamie is a graduate of Bucknell University, an AICP (certified planner), and licensed Realtor®. He has been active with several professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Planners, the Urban Land Institute, the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association, the Society for Marketing Professional Services, and the Greater Harrisburg Association of Realtors. Jamie volunteers with the Keystone Nationals Select Baseball organization, and previously held positions with Hampden Township Zoning Hearing Board, West Shore Chamber of Commerce, Cumberland York Area Local Defense Group, Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce, Pocono Mountain Regional Police Commission, Monroe County Workforce Investment Board, Monroe County Transit Authority, Monroe County Economic Advisory Board, and the United Way of Monroe County. He also previously served as Tobyhanna Township Supervisor.
Jamie is passionate about his family and giving back to the community. Outside of work, Jamie enjoys spending time coaching youth sports, and many weekends in Potter County with his family fishing, hiking, and hunting. According to Jamie, “Our communities are only as strong as the volunteers who commit their time to providing great experiences for residents, especially our youth. They learn teamwork, commitment, and leadership skills that will benefit them and our communities in the future.”
He looks forward to nurturing his existing relationships and building relationships with Buchart Horn clients, current and future, in Central PA and beyond. Jamie is a connector and will link clients’ needs with the appropriate Buchart Horn resources.
