Mira Para, Senior Environmental Engineer, recognized at Baton Rouge Metro Council Meeting

On May 13th, Mira Para, PE of our Baton Rouge office was recognized at the Baton Rouge Metro Council Meeting by Mayor-President Melvin “Kip” Holden as President of the Baton Rouge Branch of the American Public Works Association. Mira received the proclamation by the Mayor proclaiming May 17-23 as National Public Works Week. After receiving the proclamation, Mira awarded the 2015 Kent Mudd Memorial Scholarships to four students. Every year, the Baton Rouge Branch of APWA hosts a golf tournament to raise money to support the Kent Mudd Memorial Scholarship Fund named in honor of Kent Mudd, a long-time engineer for the Department of Public Works for the City of Baton Rouge.
