The York County Conservation District held its annual Conservation Awards Picnic August 5, at Rocky Ridge County Park, to present the 2014 Conservation Awards.
Each year, a committee selects individuals and businesses in York County to recognize for their stewardship and commitment to conservation efforts. Award recipients were presented with a signed, limited-edition framed print by Millicent Neill Decker, while guests enjoyed a catered picnic dinner.
Bill Meals, Vice President of Business Development at Buchart Horn, was co-presented with the 2014 Outstanding Watershed Stewards on behalf on Keep York Beautiful for their watershed educational programs involving the participation of more than 400 students and their public efforts to prevent littering and encourage recycling.
