Attending the Police Chiefs of Pennsylvania 102nd Annual Education and Training Conference

We were happy to be in attendance at the Police Chiefs of Pennsylvania 102nd Annual Education and Training Conference held in Lancaster, PA earlier this month. Our firm was able to make contact with a number of civil service personnel and discuss the design of buildings. The Association announced their accredited agencies for 2015 which includes the York City Police. Congratulations to one of our clients, the York City Police Department!

According to the PCPA website, the accreditation program “is a progressive and time-proven way of helping institutions evaluate and improve their overall performance. The cornerstone of this strategy lies in the promulgation of standards containing a clear statement of professional objectives. Participating administrators then conduct a thorough analysis to determine how existing operations can be adapted to meet these objectives. When the procedures are in place, a team of independent professionals is assigned to verify that all applicable standards have been successfully implemented. The process culminates with a decision by an authoritative body that the institution is worthy of accreditation.”

Our firm’s designs for Lower Allen Township’s Municipal Services Center and Derry Township’s Municipal Complex assisted those clients in earning the same accreditation.
