Alan D. Krouse, PE was honored with the Dudley Hixson-Bobby Price National Professional Achievement Award from the Louisiana Engineering Society.
This award, named after Thomas Dudley Hixson, PE, PLS and Dr. Bobby Price, PE, PhD, recognizes the recipient’s accomplishments and service to the engineering profession and encourages and inspires others to volunteer to serve the Society and the profession.
Krouse is an extremely accomplished engineer whose broad experience includes the design and management of road, sewer, port, and drainage projects for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development as well as many other public agencies.
After starting his career at LADOTD in 1977, Krouse has worked with a handful of professional consulting firms and is now a Senior Engineer in Buchart Horn, Inc.’s Transportation Division.
Krouse currently serves on the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying (LAPELS) Board and Louisiana Complete Streets Advisory Council and is past president of the Louisiana Engineering Foundation.
In the past, he has been honored with the Louisiana Engineering Society’s President’s Award, the Louisiana Engineering & Surveyor Journal’s Waldemar S. Nelson President’s Award, and the Leo M. Odom Service to the Profession Award from the Baton Rouge Chapter of the Louisiana Engineering Society.
