Modeling
Buchart Horn has decades of experience performing hydraulic modeling for water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. Our work supports capacity evaluations, system optimization, inflow and infiltration reduction, regulatory compliance, and capital planning.
For sanitary and stormwater systems, our team uses EPA SWMM, XPSWMM, and SewerGEMS to evaluate flows, predict system performance, and identify constraints. We have designed and rehabilitated both small and large diameter pipelines and have modeled thousands of miles of collection systems for existing condition assessments, capacity analyses, and infiltration and inflow studies. Our modeling capabilities support projects involving open cut replacement, trenchless rehabilitation, pump station upgrades, and the design of diversion chambers and equalization facilities.
For water distribution systems, our modeling helps clients understand system pressure, storage needs, fire flow capacity, and long term operational efficiency. These models tie directly into GIS databases to support asset management, system mapping, and planning for future growth. Our approach gives municipalities and authorities reliable, data driven insights that guide smart infrastructure investments and protect long term system performance.
