Stephen E. Laslo, PE, has joined BH’s Architectural group as a senior electrical engineer. Steve brings more than 25 years of power systems and MEP design to the electrical team. He is a graduate of The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and is currently registered in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Steve’s specialty is heavy industrial power systems using high, medium, and low voltage technologies. Steve’s most recent role was as an engineering manager for a large local electrical contractor where he led design/build efforts from the contracting side of the industry. Steve’s MEP design experience is also very diverse having designed electrical systems for high-rise buildings, data centers, universities, and museums.
Steve believes very strongly in mentoring and supporting the next generation of design professionals. Throughout his career, he has developed and led strong internship and co-op programs within the companies he has served. He enjoys presenting and explaining to high school students how they are able to pursue engineering and other technical careers. He is an active member of the IEEE and the NFPA and has participated in the development of standards in the past.
