Kara Moree, CFM Joins BH’s Baton Rouge Office

Buchart Horn is excited to welcome Kara K. Moree, CFM to our Baton Rouge office. Kara is a Senior Project Manager, primarily responsible for environmental analysis, planning, permitting and compliance services. She has extensive project management experience; environmental and floodplain regulations and policy knowledge; and work experience in the federal, private, and local government sectors. Her background includes extensive field and laboratory experience as well as working with the public.

Kara holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Resource Biology and Biodiversity. She is a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) and an active member of the Association of State Floodplain Managers, Inc. In her role as Vice Chairman of the Louisiana Floodplain Management Association and Committee Chairman of the Community Assistance Program, she played an integral part in the development of a Disaster Response Team (DRT), which assists local communities in times of disaster. This DRT model is now being considered by other states in FEMA Region VI.
